Terms & Conditions

These terms govern bookings and treatments at Kurokawa Retreat, 3/15 Parry Street, Fremantle WA 6160. By requesting an appointment you agree to the terms below.

1. Our practice

Kurokawa Retreat provides professional remedial and therapeutic massage only. All treatments are clinical and non-sexual in nature. We do not offer, and will never offer, any service of a sexual nature. Any such request will result in the immediate termination of the appointment, with the full fee payable, and the person may be refused future bookings.

2. Bookings & confirmation

  • Appointments are made online. Your time is reserved only once your booking is confirmed.
  • Online bookings may require a small deposit, processed securely by Square, to confirm your time. The deposit comes off your treatment price and the balance is settled at your appointment. If a deposit is not completed the held time is released.
  • Deposits are refunded for cancellations made with at least 24 hours' notice, and may be retained for late cancellations or no-shows (see section 3).
  • Please arrive a few minutes early. Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment so that following guests are not delayed, at the full session fee.
  • Appointments only. We are not a walk-in service.

3. Cancellations & no-shows

  • Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows, may incur a fee of up to 50% of the treatment price.
  • We understand emergencies happen. Please contact us as early as you can and we'll do our best to help.

4. Health fund rebates

  • Rebates apply to Remedial Massage only, when provided by a therapist holding recognised provider status with your fund. Deep tissue, relaxation and other treatments are not claimable. Relaxation and beauty treatments, and therapies excluded since 2019 (including reflexology and aromatherapy), are not claimable.
  • Eligibility, rebate amounts and annual limits depend on your level of private health cover and are determined by your fund, not by us.
  • Payment is made in full at the time of treatment. We provide a compliant provider receipt for you to claim, and offer on-the-spot claiming where available.

5. Your health & safety

  • Please tell us about injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, allergies or medications before treatment. Some conditions require clearance from your doctor.
  • You may ask to adjust pressure, stop, or end a treatment at any time. Draping is used at all times and your comfort and dignity are paramount.
  • We may decline or modify treatment where it would not be safe or appropriate.

6. Conduct

We ask all guests to treat our therapist and studio with courtesy and respect. Threatening, intoxicated or inappropriate behaviour will result in the appointment being ended, with the full fee payable.

7. Privacy

Details you provide (including health information) are collected only to arrange and deliver your treatment and to meet our record-keeping obligations. They are kept securely and never sold. Card payments are processed by Square. Our full privacy notice explains what we collect, how it is stored, and your rights.

8. Prices

The price confirmed at the time of your booking applies to your appointment.
